It shows one of the reasons for our poverty in Sierra Leone. Here is somebody talking ignorance with confidence that news about the opening of commerce in New York for Sierra Leoneans is not newsworthy. You must be shot, not the Police .
Other countries are not very poor like us because they take commerce seriously. We want to wear neckties and work in the office and receive chicken change for salary that cannot even pay half of our bills.
News of police brutality is more important than news of commerce. No wonder our country is so poor and our future so bleak.
Kabs Kanu understood what Sierra Leoneans wanted to hear , good news that will bring more money to Sierra Leone. I know anyway that Sylvia Blyden is envious OR AFRAID of Kabs Kanu because expansion to the newspaper is bad news for her because this is the newspaper which may one day expose her and educate Sierra Leoneans about her dealings with Foday Sankoh, the rebel leader and Johnny Paul, the junta leader. She has to do everything now to bad mouth the paper , thinking that will stop it from growing but she will be surprised when her plans fail. We are ready to make fundraising programs in New Jersey to make sure that Kabs Kanu's newspaper does not fail.
