STJ, there is nothing wrong for a newspaper to be pro-government. However, you probably are missing Mark's point. Besides, the differences between pro-government newspapers in America and in Sierra Leone are like night and day. I think I once read from one of these cyber discussion "hangouts" that during the 1967 elections, pro-APC newspapers where responsible for reporting SLPP canibalism. I was told by another source that animal blood was being used to stain a dark corner street in the middle of the night while someone will scream "help!" for neighborhood residents to be convinced a murder has taken place.
By morning, even without a body, pro-APC newspapers will have pictures of stain blood on their front page. Please don't hold me on this.
